mission = make stronger runners.
The Truth About Running...
Humans are remarkably designed to be great runners, with high efficiency and durability. This is not what we see in the running landscape. Injury seems to dictate the running season and the amount of time spent recovering. When we are running, inefficient mechanics and a level of de-training from repetitive patterns and conventional fitness, has left us very inefficient and biomechanically ill-equipped to run like humans. Run Training respect the human body as it's designed and works by reconnecting to lost mechanics and works to re-integrate the human body and layering on strength, springiness and rewiring to a more human gait gait pattern.
WHAT IS RUN TRAINING?
•workouts based on efficient running patterns

•core-entered movements, from static positions to the most dynamic techniques your body can handle

•non-conventional fitness that focuses on the biomechanical design of your running machine

•a workout method to help restore good useful tension in the body and maintain throughout your running
What are the goals for your training?
In conjunction with your own personal goals...
•develop a more efficient running pattern
•improve your running stride with movement techniques and improved running cues
•build a higher training threshold through breathing and movement
•to become more resilient to injury to keep you running
•make your running feel as it did years ago!
We will train the body to build and reinforce your body's ability to load and distribute tension using appropriate Functional Patterns techniques.
RUNNING ASSESSMENT
If you are interested in making running gains and would like to learn where you have room to improve, maybe an assessment is the way to get started.
The assessment includes a video analysis of your Gait cycle, where together we will breakdown a slo-mo video of you running and figure out your strengths and areas to improve. We will also explore and examine other foundations of running, such as posture and core function.
WARNING: INJURIES DOMINATE THE RUNNING LANDSCAPE, DESPITE ADVANCES IN TECHNOLOGY. RUN TRAINING ADDRESSES AND RECONNECTS THE INNATE AND PERFECT HUMAN MECHANICS WITHIN, TO EMPOWER, OR RE-EMPOWER YOUR RUNNING.
